We have a strong philosophy in using sustainable agriculture. This means that we use farming practices without depleting the earth’s resources or polluting its environment. For example, we use organic fertilizers versus synthetically chemically made ones. We also use IPM, (Integrated Pest Management). This is a system that monitors the orchards insect population and rather than depleting all insect life in the orchard, ‘beneficial’ insects are brought into the orchard to help balance the harmful insects. The theory is to create a biological balanced environment where nature will take care of itself. We believe in leaving minimal impact on the environment as possible while farming and harvesting our orchards. In order for us to continue the family farming business for future generations it’s important to keep the soil, trees, and the farmers as healthy as possible.
